Angel Food Dubuque reserves the right to substitute any of
the menu items due to availability, cost, and quantity.

Here’s How It Works
. . .
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational
organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial
support to communities throughout the United States. The program
began in 1994 with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia, and has
grown to serve over 340,000 families across 33 states.
The groceries provided by AFM are high quality, name brand
products. The unit (or box) of food that is sold for $30 by
Angel Food retails for approximately $70. Each month’s
innovative menu consists of both fresh and frozen items.
Generally one unit of food assists in feeding a family of
four for about one week or a single person for almost a month.
No applications are required, and there are no qualifications
to which recipients must adhere. AFM also participates in
the U.S. Food Stamp program, making it easier for those in
need to participate.
Food sales and distribution are handled by church or non-profit
organization host sites.
Orders and payments are collected by the host sites and turned
in to the AFM office in Monroe, Georgia. On “distribution
day,” the host site either picks tip the food from AFM’s
warehouse or the food is delivered to the host site by a prearranged
delivery mode. If an organization picks up the food, $2 of
the cost of every unit, which has been designated for transportation,
is given back to the organization. In addition $1 of each
unit is donated to the host organization for its benevolent
outreach.
