An Outreach of Word of Life Church This program is not limited to people in need. It's for anyone who likes to get quality groceries at an excellent value. High quality food!!! No second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, and no produce that is too ripe. Angel Food Dubuque reserves the right to substitute any of the menu items due to availability, cost, and quantity. WE ACCEPT FOOD STAMPS (EBT) Here's How It Works . . . The groceries provided by AFM are high quality, name brand products. The unit (or box) of food that is sold for $30 by Angel Food retails for approximately $70. Each month's innovative menu consists of both fresh and frozen items. Generally one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single person for almost a month. No applications are required, and there are no qualifications to which recipients must adhere. AFM also participates in the U.S. Food Stamp program, making it easier for those in need to participate. Food sales and distribution are handled by church or non-profit organization host sites. Orders and payments are collected by the host sites and turned in to the AFM office in Monroe, Georgia. On "distribution day," the host site either picks tip the food from AFM's warehouse or the food is delivered to the host site by a prearranged delivery mode. If an organization picks up the food, $2 of the cost of every unit, which has been designated for transportation, is given back to the organization.
